In recognition of its 75th year in business, the world's largest independent, owner-operated agency network is instituting its first hall of fame. The hall of fame recognizes those individuals that have played a pivotal role in helping establishing Worldwide Partners, the world's largest and most successful enterpreneur-operated agency network, that is independent from Wall Street.
The first inductees are (in alphabetic order)
- Jon Bond, cofounder of former Worldwide Partners agency kirshenbaum bond senecal + partners in New York;
- Bill Burton; Chairman/CEO of Mithoff Burton Partners, El Paso, Texas. One of the founding agencies of Worldwide Partners in 1938;
- David Martin (posthumous), founder of “The Martin Agency”, Richmond, Virginia;» Rick Milenthal, Executive Chairman of Engauge, Columbus Ohio;
- Patricia Fiske, former president of Worldwide Partners and
- Ingrid Wächter-Lauppe, Chair/CEO of Wächter & Wächter Worldwide Partners in Munich.
Ingrid Wächter-Lauppe expands Worldwide Partners leadership in Europe and transforms the association into a joint shareholder corporation.
During her European chairmanship in the 90s Ingrid Wächter-Lauppe recruited for Worldwide Partners numerous high class independent agencies in Western and Eastern Europe and strengthened the leading position of the owner managed network. As international chair (1999-2001) she transformed the former association into a joint shareholder corporation. In the course of this transaction the name was changed from Affiliated Advertising Agencies, Inc. (3AI) to Worldwide Partners, Inc.
By this change, partners were bonded much closer, also financially as compared to most loose associations, who often only have a joint mailbox address. Worldwide Partners has a very lean, effective service headquarter, but partners are not dependent on Wall Street expectations. The enterpreneurial spirit and the global knowledge of partners is dedicated to clients .
Client orientation – most important value of the network
Also today Ingrid Wächter-Lauppe drives client orientation within the network. She has started the B2B subgroup, an evangelist for B2b branding who serves middle size global B2B players. She is also cofounder of the Worldwide Partners Pharma/Healthcare forum, whose partner agencies offer efficient and effective and creative global campaigns.
The inaugural members: ideal role models

Not only are these individuals vitally important in the success of Worldwide Partners but they are also industry giants that have an enormous impact on the advertising business overall", says Worldwide Partners CEO Al Moffat. "They are visionaries and may inspire the ad industry with their enterpreneurial and global orientation and their diversity in thinking. They may serve as a role model for all men and women in the (ad) industry who have to think and act like enterpreneurs and in global dimensions", adds Jamie Rice, present chairman of Worldwide Partners.
